and Divisions
NOTE: wooden ruler is 18" long, white stakes
are 6" long, blue stakes are 5" long
Paphiopedilum hirsutissimum
These are unbloomed, multiple growth, blooming size plants NOTcommunity
pots. We'd highly recommend NOT dividing Paph. hirsutissimum as
they like to clump to be happy. Also, hirsutissimums can be Cattleya-like
in that they often set a spike in a translucent sheath then wait to actually
initiate flowering. ALL SOLD
Phragmipedium Grande 'Memoria William Schroer' AM/AOS
(Phrag. caudatum X Phrag. longifolium) $45 SOLD
Division of a richly colored, fairly compact, awarded clone quite possibly
made with Phrag. warscewiczianum (Phrag. popowii) instead
of Phrag. caudatum, making it actually Phrag. Wössner Supergrande.
Division (top two pictures) is in a 5" pot and has one decent sized
growth and two, chunky starts; ~15" leafspan overall. Flower pictures
are from the parent chunk. This division is not in bloom; the biggest
growth is not quite blooming size, but it's getting there quickly. Petals
exceede 12" long, and flowers are 14-15.5" tall depending on
how upright the dorsal decides to be. Flowers of this clone are fragrant...
like a somewhat neglected litter box.
